FG To Enrol Newspapers Vendors Into N-Power

This was disclosed by Chris Ngigie, the Minister of Labour and employment, in Abuja when members of the Desmond Obiagwu-led Federal Secretariat branch of the association paid him a courtesy visit.

The FG has announced a promise to enrol members of the Newspaper Vendors Association of Nigeria into the N-Power programme, to help them acquire some skills.

This was disclosed by Chris Ngigie, the Minister of Labour and employment, in Abuja when members of the Desmond Obiagwu-led Federal Secretariat branch of the association paid him a courtesy visit.

Ngige applauded the vendors for being good citizens of the country, choosing to earn a decent living through newspaper vending in the stead of criminal activities. He noted that the vendors are part of those helping the government through their work.

He expressed the FG’s desire to encourage them in their efforts with a promise that the government would enroll some of them into the programme.
