Governor Samuel Ortom Speaks On Benue Tanker Fire, To Pay Medical Bills

Ortom in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Terver Akase described the incident as very painful and devastating.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has reacted to the Petrol Tanker fire that reportedly claimed the lives of 50 people at Ahumbe village along Makurdi-Aliade High-way in Gwer-East LGA of the State.

Ortom in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Terver Akase described the incident as very painful and devastating.

The Statement read;

Governor Samuel Ortom is deeply saddened by the loss of many lives in the petrol tanker fire today at Ahumbe, Gwer East Local Government Area.

The Governor describes the incident as quite painful and devastating.

He consoles families of those who lost their lives in the inferno and prays God to grant them eternal rest.

Governor Ortom assures survivors of the fire that the State Government will assist in payment of their medical bills.
