2019: Governor Samuel Ortom Emerges Benue PDP Governorship Candidate

The primaries which started yesterday 30th September at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi ended with governor Ortom polling 2,210 votes which made him the winner.

Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has emerged as the winner of PDP governorship primaries to fly the party’s flag in the 2019 general elections.

The primaries which started yesterday 30th September at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi ended with governor Ortom polling 2,210 votes.

Former Commissioner of Lands and Survey, Surv. John Tondo polled 475, Engr. Felix Atume polled 44 while former DG of NAFDAC, Dr. Paul Orhii polled 10.

Prof Tor Iorapuu, Dr Tivlumun Nyitse, and Barr Dave Iorhemba withdrew from the primaries early this morning.

Recall that Governor Samuel Ortom resigned from the APC and returned to PDP after the party’s leader in Benue, George Akume gave him a red card.
