‘Transmission’ In Buhari’s Letter Elicits Laughter Among Senators

The title of the letter read, “Transmission of the Deep Offshore and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contracts Amendment Bill 2018.”

Senators bursted out laughing during plenary today when a letter from President Buhari was read on the floor of the house by senate president Bukola Saraki. In the course of reading the title of the letter, Saraki mentioned the word transmission.

This elicited laughter amongst the senators. The senate president also burst into laughter, forcing him to start reading the letter afresh.”Let me start again,” he said.

The title of the letter read, “Transmission of the Deep Offshore and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contracts Amendment Bill 2018.”

Recall that last month, a video of the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris, reading a speech at a function and struggling with the word ”Transmission;;, Commission and ”Transfusion” went viral.
